The mission of the Remembrance Scholars to Look Back and Act Forward in memory of those lost emphasizes the importance of service in support of the community – whether on campus, in the city of Syracuse and surrounding area, or in the wider world. This dedication to service has taken many forms over the years, including providing sandwiches and non-perishable goods to local food pantries, working with Syracuse-area schools to encourage student engagement in the arts, and organizing charity runs for groups and communities affected by terrorism or other disasters.
