Annual Pan Am Flight 103 Memorial Services to be Held Dec. 21

The Dean and Chaplains of Hendricks Chapel will conduct a virtual remembrance service on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 2:03 p.m. ET to honor the 270 people who died aboard Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, on the same date 33 years ago.

The service will honor the 270 people, including 35 Syracuse University study abroad students, who were killed when Pan Am Flight 103 was destroyed by a terrorist bomb over Lockerbie, Scotland on that date and time 33 years ago. Chaplains and Remembrance Scholars will offer prayers, reflections, and a reading of the names of the 35 students who were lost that day.

This service is offered in partnership with the Remembrance and Lockerbie Scholars, Hendricks Chapel and the Office of Alumni Engagement.

The Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, Inc. will hold their Annual Memorial Service at the Pan Am Cairn in Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 21, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET. The service will include family and friends reading the names of all their loved ones lost in 1988 and a wreath laying at the Cairn.
